“I’m currently working on a new project in the redecentralization / federation space. A prototype is in the works, and I am hoping to share more information soon.”

As part of the project, Dan has built a new web application server called Lactoserv. The blurb and source are posted at Postham, a sibling site to this one.

Chapter One · Origin

On keeping a page since 1994.

ilk Kommunikations Ko-Op was never a company, and this redesign has no interest in pretending otherwise. It is one person’s home page, kept running for over three decades, through every era the web has had — and through every era of what a “personal site” was supposed to look like.

The original carried a hand-inked figure at its masthead, drawn by hand, printed flat, never touched up. We haven’t redrawn it here — a mark like that belongs to the document it came from, not to a new template wearing its history as decoration.

What survives from 1994 isn’t the HTML. It’s the refusal to dress it up as more than it is.

What we changed is the frame: room to breathe, one considered accent, type set the way a masthead deserves. What we kept is the voice — the recipes, the music, the humor archive, the running joke about a domain that was never for sale.
