About this index

ACME Laboratories has published freeware and small utilities since 1972, and moved the catalog online in 1991. The original page kept every tool in one long nested list because the nesting itself did the sorting — a "Unicode Transformations" tool sat three levels under "Unicode characters" without needing a single line of layout CSS. This index keeps that same flat catalog, indexed instead of nested, so 54 tools stay scannable at any width.

Nothing here is a rebrand of the tools themselves — file names, categories, and vintage are unchanged from the original directory. What changed is the container: table instead of bullet list, filter instead of scroll.
